Construction and rehabilitation of ICHE (Initial Contact Health Establishments) in Ivory Coast

Over the past decade, the health sector has been particularly marked by a series of events that have undermined the efforts of the government and partners to build a successful health system.

A major project for the construction and rehabilitation of health facilities was launched by the government as part of a hospital program 2018-2020. In addition to this project, a project for the construction and rehabilitation of ICHE (Initial Contact Health Establishments) aimed at the construction of 240 ICHEs and the rehabilitation of 400 existing ones throughout the country. Two operators will be in charge with Ellipse Projects for the North and South West of the country.

Ellipse Projects has signed in early 2020 a contract with the Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene for the construction, rehabilitation and the medical equipment for the 297 urban and rural ICHEs in order to provide a better patient care environment.
