At a time when Togo is facing major healthcare needs, two of the country’s main hospitals, the Kara and Lomé University Hospitals, are in need of renovation.
The Togolese government wanted the Kara and Lomé-Campus University Hospitals to be renovated. With financing from Natixis and Bpifrance Assurance Export, as well as a loan from the French Treasury, Ellipse Projects was awarded a contract to deliver the entire project, including the modular construction of a new technical platform and maternity ward, the renovation of existing buildings, roads and networks (water, etc.), and the total refurbishment with new equipment.
On completion of the renovation, Kara University Hospital will have 345 beds (compared with 239 previously) and Lomé University Hospital 332 (197 previously).
The refurbishment of the Kara and Lomé hospitals will significantly improve patient care.
